As odd as it might seem to everyone else, Tony found some kind of comfort being able to sit on the roof and just be away from everyone else. He hadn’t been able to sleep at all in the last few nights finding that his head was swimming with too many thoughts right now to really sleep. It had been like that for the past few nights and Tony had given up trying to sleep at all at this point. Instead, he waited till it seemed like everyone was asleep before teleporting to the roof. Scrabbling around on it for a moment, Tony found a good spot before he lay back and just stared out at the stars. He had nothing better to do at this point and his mind wasn’t thinking too much about where he could go to. Yes he was tired but he wasn’t really in the state to really be sleeping. Everything that happened in the last couple of weeks had just been a mind boggle all on its own.
Not only had he disappeared from home, but he had left his family. It was one thing that seemed to be eating at him the most. He knew he needed to go back and at least help them somehow but right now it seemed other things mattered more. It was a conflict that was eating away at him almost all the time even if it didn’t look like he was caring about anything at all. It seemed to be more of an act around these people. The fact that he needed to get alone with a group of strangers was going to be a hard thing to get used to. He never really seemed to fit in anywhere and right now it seemed that was the case in this situation as well.
Pulling the hat on his head over his eyes, Tony let his legs dangle off the edge of the roof as he pretended to at least sleep. Maybe in the night air he’d eventually doze off but he wasn’t betting on it at all. The second his eyes did close, the incident with the Griffin started playing out before his eyes again. It really was hard to believe such things were really and happening around him. Hell they were happening to him.

Eric was having a little problem with insomnia. It was probably just the unfamiliar house but the lack of sleep was starting to have a slight effect on him. He had these constant flashes and sounds coming at him. They didn't really make much sense. An example would be that night. Whilst lying there trying to find some solace in the fact that he was with what seemed like friends there was suddenly a flash of the city from the perspective of the roof a place up high. From what he could tell it had to have been the house he was staying at. The more Eric lied there the more he realized the little vision bothered him. There wasn't anyway you could get that high from a place like this. As he tossed and turned he suddenly thought of the roof. It had to have been the roof, right? As he mulled it over in his head he came to the conclusion that he was going to have to go up and investigate it for himself. Eric stood up and walked outside. Eric walked around the place an entire time before realizing that there was a large trellis on the western side with some sort of flora growing all over it. The thought occurred to him. Why not use the trellis? I mean, it worked in pretty much ever teenage movie to have ever existed, so he should be fine. Eric climbed about half way up the thing before he had his scare. A piece of the thing fell off and hit the ground. It was only about 15 feet. It wasn't deadly or anything but the though of falling that far was still uncomfortable to say the least.
Eric got to the top and somehow pulled himself up onto the roof. It was nice having a good healthy body that could lift its own weight sometimes. Eric was surprised to find a boy lying there on the roof. Eric approached and realized it was Tony. As he got closer he felt a sudden tiredness coming on. Eric sat down and the sleepy feeling was already gone. He looked up at Tony and said
"I'd ask how you got up here but I think we both know that's pretty easy for you, huh? I had to climb that freaking plant thing. You're get me down OK? Why are you up here anyways?"

Tony pulled the hat clear over his eyes closing them as he lay back on the shingles. The whole experience was driving him up the wall most days. How any of this could still be possible was running through his mind constantly. Even after he witnessed the griffin and his own powers he was still skeptical of the whole thing. It was one of the reasons that he couldn’t really sleep right now. Another was that if he did, he could wonder into someone’s dreams. When he had first discovered this ability, Tony had been excited. After all it meant he could tell what someone else was dreaming about and other fun things. However, things seemed to get a bit out of hand in the last person’s dreams he hopped into. In the morning, the person was found dead. Since Tony had been nowhere near the person, there was no way of connecting him to what happened. The only thing that anyone said was the person died in their sleep of natural causes since there weren’t many things to really explain what happened. Tony knew and would always know. But that wasn’t something he wanted to think about here. All that anyone knew about him was he could teleport and he preferred to keep it that way.
Maybe he was subconsciously preventing himself from doing that again. Since his little adventure it seemed Tony had been putting off sleeping. He was worried something might happen again and it wasn’t a good thing to really have such an ability. Well it did depend what sense anyone looked at it. Sighing, Tony pressed the heels of his palms into his eyes trying to make himself stay awake again. Before he wanted to sleep but now it didn’t seem like such a good idea anymore. The commotion near the side of the house caused Tony to sit up. He pushed the rim of his hat up over his eyes again as he stared at the site wondering what the hell was going on. When Eric’s head popped up on the roof, he relaxed before looking up at the other as he pulled up beside him. Hearing his request, Tony laughed before staring out into the night for a moment. “I could just leave you hear to fend for yourself.” he stated in a teasing manor before shrugging his shoulders. “Can’t sleep.” he added before sitting back on his elbows. “What brings you up here?”

Eric just looked at the boy and gave him a sarcastic little smile. Eric lied back and looked up at the stars. In comparison to the universe Eric felt pretty small. Hell, even comparing himself to the rest of the heroes made him feel insignificant. They were given talents that were actually useful. Eric could only look good. What was the use in that? Tony could teleport and Demi had terrakinesis. Staring at the stars made Eric feel a little pathetic. He would never show it or tell anyone but he was honestly wondering what he was doing in a place like that.
When Tony asked why he was up there Eric didn't really know what to respond with. He just looked at the boy and left his mouth open for a while. He hadn't really given much thought to the reason why he actually came up. He knew he saw the images of the roof in his head but he wasn't entirely sure what actually made him go to the roof. He squinted his eyes and said
"You know. I'm not entirely sure. I couldn't sleep and something just told me to come up here. I had no idea you'd even be here."
Eric looked the boy up and down. He was actually pretty cute. The truth was that Eric might not be opposed to hooking up with him. The thought of getting off was starting to get him excited. Eric smiled and while unknowingly using his seductive powers said
"So I've been wondering and I hope you don't take offense to it, but are you gay? or straight? or what?"

There was something calming to be sitting outside in the middle of the night on the roof. Problem was if he was too calm then Tony might fall asleep and falling asleep when everyone else was sleeping wasn’t a good idea. At least not unless he wanted to find out things he didn’t need to know about. Once most people awake, he would probably take a nap or something if it was at all possible. With how easily he could move around from place to place it wouldn’t be too hard to get in a couple of hours before there was any kind of meeting scheduled or whatever. Casting his gaze to the side, he watched Eric pull up on the roof top beside him and wondered what really had brought him up here. It was hard as hell getting up the side of the house without having Tony’s ability so it must have been something interesting. No one knew he was up here anyways so any regards to him being up there was pushed aside.
There were still a handful of people that Tony had no idea what their powers were or could be. He had seen a demonstration of some of them when they had taken on the Griffin, however, Tony figured not everyone was showing all of them. After all, Tony himself wasn’t telling them about his ability to dream hop or whatever it was called. Watching Eric, the Irish young man noted that his question left the other quite taken aback. He couldn’t help but chuckle at his open mouth expression. “Sorry, didn’t mean ter baffle yer completely wi' dat quesshun.” he said half teasing half sarcastic at the others reaction. It was funny and Tony never really kept his mouth shut when he should. It was a flaw and a blessing at the same time. “Fair enoof, it ain’t de most lavish place someone wi' me abilities wud be considered ter spend 'is time.” he offered finding his eyes traveling to Eric more and more without out reason. He was bi and had experiment but often times he preferred the company of woman. Right now though, it seemed his mind had other ideas as he found himself leaning into the other more for some reason. Normally Tony would keep that part about himself to himself but before he could really comprehend it he found himself responding. “Bit av both actually. why ye interested? oi wouldn’t pin yer for someone who swings dat way. granted it’s 'ard ter tell dees days aint it.” he offered before frowning a bit. It only lasted a moment before his smirk was back up as he stared at Eric.
* Sorry, didn’t mean to baffle you completely with that question. * Fair enough, it ain’t the most lavish place someone with my abilities would be considered to spend his time. * Bit of both actually. Why are you interested? I wouldn’t pin you for someone who swings that way. Granted it’s hard to tell these days aint it.
(OOC: Sorry about the awkwardness, wasn’t sure how exactly Eric’s powers worked.)
