Zach let the hot spray of water pound on the muscles of his back in a vain attempt to loosen the tension that had taken up residence between his shoulder blades. He stayed there with his hands braced on the wet tiles, eyes closed. I have a job for you. The alien voice in his head made him jump and electricity coursed along his skin before he could stop it. Electricity and water didn't mix, and the lights in his bathroom exploded in a shower of sparks and glass as Zach stumbled backward. He tried to steady himself in the darkness, but only made matters worse by grabbing onto the shower curtain. It came free from the shower rod with a snap and Zach found himself in an awkward position on the floor, soaking wet and steaming, sparks still dancing along his skin. He grumbled as he stood up and muttered, "You really are trying to kill me, aren't you?" He didn't expect Zeus to respond, but he did. The powerful god actually sounded amused. Killing you would be counter productive, wouldn't you agree? Zach remained silent as he groped around in the darkness, trying to find a towel and the door so he could let some light in.
Zeus didn't wait for an answer. There is a girl by the name of Rhonda Mackenzie not too far from you. Go to her and enlist her aid. Zach mentally rolled his eyes as his fingers came into contact with the doorknob. Careful, boy. I will not tolerate insolence. Zach stopped and took a deep breath. It wasn't the first time Zeus had spoken to him in his mind, but the sensation was no less unsettling. The voice was ancient and powerful... and it spoke of a being who would not yield. Gathering his pride, Zach muttered, "Yes, sir." He opened the door of the bathroom and made his way to dress as Zeus gave him instructions for finding this Rhonda girl.
Forty-five minutes later, Zach pulled up in front of... was that a mansion? It certainly looked like one. He tried not to let that intimidate him as he stopped at the front gate. He closed his eyes and let his senses feel the electricity in the place. Alarm system and security cameras; nothing he couldn't handle. He reached a hand out of his car door and placed his palm on the security panel for the main gate, flooding it with enough voltage to overload the system. Zach smiled to himself when the panel sizzled and the gates swung open and he drove past them. He gave himself a moment to take in the scenery. It was quite a beautiful place, and he wondered what kind of person lived like this if they weren't a celebrity. Custom landscaping that must have cost a fortune, statuary, perfectly manicured lawn.... He could live here. Parking the car and gathering a bit of extra courage, Zach walked up to the front door. There was another security box here which he promptly fried before knocking.

Rhonda sipped idly at her morning coffee as she glared at the composition pages scattered across the large mahogany table before her. This was just getting ridiculous. She’d been trying to come up with the right cord to finish the song for almost a week, and yet every combination she had tried just didn’t sit properly. It was supremely frustrating.
Eyeing off the music sheets some more, Ronnie drained the last dregs of her latte before slowly unfurling herself from the chair. The gardeners, cleaners, and the like were not meant to be coming around today, the young diva giving them a day’s reprieve as she battled with this stupid song. Having a vacuum howling in her ear and a sweaty Hispanic man staring at her through the windows as he trimmed the hedges was somewhat counterproductive to good muse.
Moving to the kitchen, dumping her cup in the dishwasher on the way, Ronnie jumped up onto one of the bar stools at the bench table in the center of the large room. Fishing around in the draw to her left, the young singer emerged triumphant with a small knife, her other hand returning from the fruit bowl on the tabletop with an apple.
“Play Ipod, shuffle setting.” She called to no one in particular as she set about slicing up the fruit into quarters. However, contrary to appearances, someone was listening to Rhonda, the computer. Hearing her voice command the system whirred to life and some old school Jazz music began to drift out of the speakers scattered throughout the mansion.
Happily humming along as she munched on the fruit, hoping the tune would spark some inspiration in her, Ronnie almost didn’t hear the knock at her front door. Indeed, when she did realize she had in fact heard a knock, it took a moment for the woman to actually confess to herself that she had not just imagined it. Just because most people had to buzz the intercom at the gate to get her to enter the code to access her driveway, didn’t mean that everyone had to. Her manager, who was more of a liaison between the singer and her record company, for instance knew the codes, and quite often let himself onto the property. Generally however he buzzed the intercom to let Ronnie know he was coming though.
Puzzled, and somewhat annoyed at being caught out in simply track pants and a tank top, Rhonda made her way through the halls to the front door. Whoever was there had better have a damn good reason for interrupting her morning snack like this.
Pulling open the door, expecting one of her usual middle men to greet her with a dreamy smile and perhaps even flowers, Rhonda was somewhat taken aback at the unfamiliar face of the man before her.
Her eyes narrowing into a calculating glare, she ran her gaze up and down the guy. He wasn’t half bad looking, and he hadn’t rushed her as soon as she opened the door. Yet for some reason he had avoided the security systems of the house, like he didn’t want her to know he was coming. Big mystery solved then.
“There’s a few things you should know about me tall dark and handsome. First of which is that I don’t much like it when people sneak up on me. You wouldn’t want to make me unhappy would you?” Ronnie purred, her face softening into a coy yet sultry expression as she walked her fingers up the chest of her visitor, her eyes gazing into his.
The guy was obviously another one of those fans she’d had a lot more of recently after Ares awoke her powers. The type that just didn’t understand the concept of boundaries. The type which would promptly get issued a restraining order once they were off her property. You know, the stalker type. The idea that this guy might in fact be here because of her powers never occurred to Ronnie, indeed she was so fixated on trying finish the song that she hadn’t had many flashes into the desires of many people recently. Probably something to do with most of her mind being occupied and blocking out the insights. This little fact would probably help the young singer later in life, but as it stood, she didn’t even register it was happening, so new was she to the foreign abilities.

Zach rocked back on his heels as he waited. He'd done some minor breaking and entering getting to the door, but to actually enter someone's house without their permission crossed a personal line for him. He'd spent the entire drive over here contemplating what he would say when he opened the door and how he'd "enlist her aid" as Zeus had put it. He could always put on a light show, but he didn't want to scare her. It was better to meet her first and judge what type of person she was before revealing his powers to her. Judging by the scenery around him and the mansion he was currently standing on the doorstep of, this was either the home of a really old geezer who had made good investments back in his day or a spoiled rich kid, and Zach didn't see much use in either. What could Zeus possibly want from...
Whoa. Every other thought fled from his head for a moment as near perfection opened the front door. No, she was perfection. She was a redhead, which screamed troublemaker, and as Zach's brain slowly started to work again, he noticed more things about her; the depth of color to her eyes, the curve of her cheekbones, even the way she moved. Every new thing he noticed was flawless. He opened his mouth to speak but she beat him to it. “There’s a few things you should know about me tall dark and handsome. First of which is that I don’t much like it when people sneak up on me. You wouldn’t want to make me unhappy would you?”
Her voice made velvet feel like a scouring pad and the way her lips moved when she spoke gave Zach chills. Afraid he'd start drooling if he didn't do something, he held out his hand to her. Instead of taking his hand, she walked her fingers up his chest and he fought down every desire he'd ever had. He swallowed once, twice. Grinding his teeth against the edge of his tongue, he forced himself to take a step back. It was quite possibly the hardest thing he'd ever done, but the last thing he needed was to make a complete and total fool of himself.
"Sorry to intrude, ma'am, but I think you're going to want to hear what I have to say. My name is Zach Grigori. Zeus sent me." The name of the king of the gods jolted him back to reality a little bit and he took another look at Rhonda. Oh, he could see why Zeus wanted her on their side. She must be a descendant of Aphrodite. There really was no other explanation. People--normal people--just weren't that, well, perfect. One thing was certain. The woman standing in front of him was very, very dangerous and it was Zach's job to make use of it. He ground his teeth again. Not that kind of making use of her, he scolded himself. The haze that her beauty had put his mind in didn't go away completely, but it cleared enough that he didn't act like a complete fool. At least he hoped he didn't. There was still much to do, and precious little time to do it in.

The guy stepped back… He stepped away from the most alluring woman on the planet… He must be one extremely gay, and incredibly dedicated to staying gay, man. What the hell was he doing at her front door then?!
Her eyes narrowing slightly in anger at being rejected, Rhonda stalked after the stranger as he retreated from the perfection of her, the fool. She was going to show him exactly what he was missing out on, then cut him off from her entirely. There was no greater emotional pain to a human than lusting for that which you can never have, and nobody had Ronnie. No one ever would.
However as she sashayed her way up to press herself against the guy, her hands slowly sliding their way up his chest, he started talking. Ronnie did not like what he had to say.
“And you couldn’t tell me that over the intercom? Christ what is it with you supernatural freaks and breaking into my property.” Rhonda hissed, pushing herself abruptly away from Zach and turning to storm her way back inside.
“Show yourself out Mr Grigori, I have nothing more to say to you.” She called over her shoulder, waving a hand towards the gate, her head held regally aloof.
Ronnie meant what she said. Sure she would have tolerated Ares knocking at her door, simply because he gave her perfection, which in turn made her record sales explode. The insight thing wasn’t that bad either, despite it being so unpredictable and often unhelpful. Zach on the other hand offered her nothing, Zeus may have sent him, but Ronnie didn’t care about the supposed king of the Gods. She was beloved by all who saw her, she could get anything she wanted. There was no reason for her to follow Zeus’s orders…. Except for the promise of immortality.
That made Ronnie pause in her dramatic exit, well not really pause, more slow down fractionally. Immortality was a mighty big gift, and one the young singer would love to have. To be eternally young and as beautiful as she was now? She could rule the world, have billions of people tending to her every whim. Surely she could hold off on simply kicking Zach out of her life for a few moments more and find out what he needed of her?
Breathing out as her walk slowed that tiny bit more, Ronnie noted that she must be a rather large distance from her front door to be taking so long to get back to it, and then turned her attention to Zach. She could sense people’s desires and knew if she focused she could force a desire to reveal itself to her.
So he wasn’t the world’s biggest gay afterall. Why, Zach was filled to overflowing with the oh so familiar desire for Ronnie. He must have a quite strong mental will to be resisting her so. But this was not the information Ronnie wanted, not that it was even really information. This initial insight was nothing more than a sudden wave of emotion and longing for herself that, had Ronnie not known was emanating from Zach’s head, probably would of freaked the girl out at the strength of the lust for her own body.
Finally coming to a halt in her apparently super slow motion dramatic exit, Ronnie closed her eyes and focused harder on the man behind her. He had to want something other than getting her in bed, why else had he come here in the first place then? The singer did not like to be in the dark, she liked to know exactly what was going on around her. Zach had snuck onto her property, resisted her seduction, and came at the request of Zeus. He had already surprised Ronnie 3 times more than she would have liked. No more.
As she remained motionless, her entire attention directed at the horny guy behind her, a new insight washed over Ronnie. Like before it was simply a wave of emotion, but it was the understanding that came with the emotion that caused Ronnie to burst out laughing.
“Oh wow, you have a lot of learning to do little man. There is no way I will ever view you as my leader, my hero, my protector or my better. You’re barely able to keep yourself from jumping me right now as it is. Do you even know who I am? You are so far beneath me it’s pathetic you’d even consider approaching me yet alone thinking to have me on your team, in awe and respect of the powerful and manly leader of us Fallen.” Ronnie belittled Zach, slicing down the feeling she had gained from him, the seemingly secure knowledge that those around him would follow his natural leadership skills. Ronnie followed no one but herself, money, and the love of her fans. That the guy could even consider a woman like her would happily simply fall in line behind a nobody like him was so unbelievable it was hilarious.
Still snickering, Ronnie propped her hands on her hips, turning around to smirk down on Zach. She had no doubt in her mind anymore that Zeus had sent the delusional man around to make her join the team of people he was collecting who had been given powers, Ares had mentioned there were others when he had popped around before. She would definitely be joining them, Ronnie wanted her immortality, but she would not blindly follow Zach’s lead. She was not a woman to follow, she made her own way. Her way just happened to be along the same road as the rest of the Fallen for the moment so she would tag along until it no longer suited her purposes.
[/blockquote] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope i got the insight right-ish, that's something Zach would feel right? Let me know if not and i'll change it
