Powers:
Electricity Manipulation: Zach can literally hurl bolts of lightning. However, his bolts are no where near as powerful as Zeus's. Zach's electricity comes from within him and is mainly used in combat situations. A direct hit wouldn't kill anyone with godly blood, but would probably take out a human. When fighting, Zach usually has a current of electricity running throughout his body which will shock automatically on contact. He can also channel electricity through objects and control the direction the electricity takes. Furthermore, he can act as a "human" lightning rod and absorb electricity before it can harm someone else.
Flight: Zach can fly without any form of wings. The power is based solely on his willpower. He can hover, change direction, and change speed with a thought.
Weaknesses:
Electricity Manipulation: Water. Plain and simple. Water is a great conduit for electricity which can cause Zach some problems. If he is submerged or soaked in water, it limits his use of electricity. In that situation, his electric current would be dispersed into the water, only shocking someone if they were touching the water too. Inversely, when Zach uses electricity in water, he has no directional control and will shock everyone and everything touching the water at the same time.
Flight: Height. Zach can only fly so high before it becomes hard for him to breathe. Wind strength and direction will also hinder him to an extent. For example, if Zach were flying in a storm, he could easily get blown off course or pelted with damaging hail. Flying is also draining for him, and he tires more easily when he's flying than when he's on the ground.

Occupation: Student
Place of Birth: Wichita, Kansas, US
History: Zach was born out of wedlock to Maryann Andreas and Daniel Grigori. He grew up in various cities around Kansas, following Maryann's work as a psychologist. Daniel wasn't in the picture a whole lot, unwilling to follow mother and son around the state. When they were in proximity, he'd stop by every week or so and take Zach out to do something fun, but it never lasted. By the time Zach was ten, he and Daniel would get into fights almost immediately. On Zach's eleventh birthday, Daniel was killed in a car accident on his way to pick Zach up for a soccer game that he was going to surprise Zach with tickets for. It really hit home for Zach that even though they argued, Daniel really did love him.
Then, without child support checks, Maryann was forced to work longer hours, leaving Zach alone for longer periods of time, which was fine with him. He started exploring the world of sports at school and quickly fell in love with soccer, giving him a distraction from the frequent absence of his mother. Maryann on the other hand tried to make up for her long hours with more and more rules about what Zach should and shouldn't be doing. When he couldn't take it anymore, he'd just sneak out of the house to kick the ball around the park around the corner for awhile.
When Zach turned eighteen, he went off to college at Newman University in Wichita, the same city he was born in to study psychology like his mother. He was more interested in philosophy, though, and the differences in cultures and their beliefs. However, he knew he would be hard pressed to create a career out of that. Therefore, he'd compromised with Maryann and majored in psych which was more versatile. He got a partial scholarship for his skills in soccer and was able to keep his grades up while remaining on the team.
In his third year at university, he was approached by a stranger who told him all kinds of weird things about Greek gods and some sort of upcoming war. This stranger told him he was a descendant of Zeus himself and Zach was to be granted the power over electricity along with the ability to fly. Zach thought the stranger was nuts until the stranger pushed him out of the second story window. Of course, Zach never did hit the ground. He simply flew back in the window and demanded to know what was going on, which was when the stranger explained that if Zach served the gods, he'd be granted immortality.

Descendant of: Zeus
Mother: Maryann Andreas
Father: Daniel Grigori (deceased)
Siblings: None.
Other Important Relatives: Uncle Steve
Marital Status: Single
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Wealth/Social status: Comfortable
Detailed:
Zach/Maryann: Zach has a decent relationship with his mother, but he's not always open with her as she can be very judgmental. She tries pushing him in the direction she wants him to go. Zach sometimes fights with her over it, but they usually come to some sort of compromise. When they can't reach an agreement, Zach does whatever he wants.
Zach/Daniel: Zach didn't know his father for long, but they constantly butted heads. They never agreed on anything, but Zach held a grudging respect for him.
Zach/Steve: Zach always felt like Steve was the father he should have had. Brother to Daniel, Steve was always the more responsible one and rumor had it Steve had a thing for Maryann for years. However, Steve got married right before Daniel's death and nothing became of the buried romance. It didn't bother Zach that the feelings were there, but it did cause him to be a little nicer to his mother since she basically got her heart broken.

Zach also doesn't see himself as a bad guy. He thinks the gods deserve to be worshiped and is committed to carrying out Zeus's will. In most respects, he's a decent person. However, he operates based on what the gods have told him. He wants to change the way things are with all the fighting and he sees the only way of doing that is for humanity to rely on and worship the gods once again.
When irritated, Zach can come off rude and abrasive but the mood usually passes within a relatively short amount of time. He's a natural leader and expects to be followed, but won't pass up a challenge if one is issued. Despite the situation he finds himself in, he's excited to find out he's related to the gods and the prospect of immortality.

Role Play Sample:
Zach sat on the sidelines of the soccer field at Newman University, idly rolling a soccer ball around on the ground with his foot. The action was only a cover for what he was really doing, which was playing with his new powers. He was careful not to scorch his yellow uniform as he created a spark between his thumb and forefinger. Most of Zach's mind was still reeling at the idea that he was an actual descendant of Zeus himself, but the evidence was there. The spark he'd created didn't hurt in the least. In fact, it barely tingled even though it was a good inch between his thumb and finger. Just to see if he could, he spread his fingers and created a spark between them all. Staring at the display, he decided it was definitely going to take some getting used to. He extinguished the sparks as his teammate, Raul, flopped down on the bench next to him. "Hey Zach. I thought you were in rotation out there?"
Zach kicked the ball under the bench and leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees. He was supposed to be out there, but his mind wouldn't let him focus on anything except the deal he'd been offered. "I'm not feeling too good today, man. Sitting out one part of practice won't kill me." He looked over at Raul with half a grin, hoping his dilemma wasn't painted across his face. He'd been friends with Raul since his first day at Newman University, and it was hard to lie to him. What did you tell a friend when a god basically walked out of the pages of some lost, forgotten mythology textbook and offered you a job along with some pretty nifty abilities? The information was probably better kept to himself, as he wasn't at all sure he wasn't insane. If someone had told him last week that he'd have the ability to control electricity and fly... well, he would have walked rapidly in the opposite direction. Zach nodded to Raul as he told him to feel better before jogging back onto the field.
Creating a spark big enough to make snapping sound, Zach sighed. He still didn't know what he was going to do. Fight for Olympus and gain immortality, or stay here and live a normal life? He was running out of time, and he'd have to make a decision soon. Did the gods deserve to be worshiped? Would that fix all the screwed up crap in the world? Maybe, maybe not, but wasn't it worth a shot? Zach certainly didn't see anyone else stepping up to the plate and doing something. Besides, if it weren't for the gods, he wouldn't even be here. Didn't he owe them? He hadn't realized he'd made a decision about anything until he was moving, running across the soccer field and back into the building to change, ignoring the coach calling out to him. It was time to actually do something with this life of his. And maybe get a stiff drink along the way.
